A Morning Bird's Routine

If you had to choose between having only a night or morning routine, which would you choose? Which one is more important? Some days, you might wake up late and rush to get out the door. Some days are exhausting, and you want to relax in your bed at the end of the day. A nighttime routine can help soothe the mind after a hard day at work or school. Self-care can be a relaxing activity and make you feel clean. Ending your day by watching your favorite show or reading a book distracts the mind from work and school, and distraction can help you recharge to work the next day. Similarly, a morning routine can contain self-care, but it prepares you for the day. Starting your day with stability can give you a constant thing to look forward to. Even if the rest of your day goes horribly wrong, you have that building block of the morning to build your tolerance for bad situations.

But do you need relaxation more at night or in the morning? Most of you may say it’s obviously better to relax at the end of the day, but I beg to differ. Having enough morning to relax and prepare for the day can improve proper planning and time management. But I can still plan the day the night before, can’t I? Yes, you can, but doing it in the morning keeps it fresh in your mind. Besides, at the end of the night, who wants to plan your day out tomorrow when you barely got through today? Also, with a morning routine, waking up on the wrong side of the bed can be changed before you start your to-do list.
